The International Council of Women (ICW-CIF) is an international, non-political, non-governmental organization which represents millions of women in its affiliated councils in all continents of the globe; its principal objectives are: to help women help themselves; to promote equal rights and responsibilities for both men and women; to promote recognition and respect for human rights; to support all the efforts for peace; to bring together women from all continents in unity within diversity; to encourage the integration of women in development. For over one hundred years, ICW-CIF works to meet the needs of women, through international meetings, regional, sub regional and national seminars and workshops, development projects, Resolutions, Plans of Action, and cooperation with other NGOs.   Le Conseil International des Femmes (ICW-CIF) est une organisation internationale non-gouvernementale, non politique, qui représente des milliers de femmes, unies au sein de Conseils Nationaux, sur tous les continents; ses objectifs principaux consistent à : aider les femmes à s'aider elles-mêmes, promouvoir l'égalité des droits et des responsabilités entre hommes et femmes, promouvoir la reconnaissance et le respect des droits humains, soutenir tout effort pour la paix, rassembler les femmes de partout dans le monde et les unir dans leur diversité, encourager l'intégration des femmes  dans le développement. Depuis plus de cent ans, le ICW-CIF travaille pour satisfaire les besoins des femmes, à travers des réunions internationales, des séminaires et ateliers régionaux, des projets de développement, des Plans d'action et de la coopération avec d'autres ONG.
